Our story
Leonessa Botanicals was born from my design background and passion for all things flowers. It’s the way that I’m able to creatively tell a story, while being able to connect with the beauties of Mother Nature.
The idea that flowers have a lot to say comes from my mindset of creating floral designs with intention. This means, I aim to blend beauty and meaning together to create designs that say more and tell a story - specifically, your story. Whether it’s a certain flower that means something special to you, the memory of your first bunch of flowers received from your significant other, or your Nana’s favorite bloom in honor of, I aim to intentionally choose flowers that tell your story in my designs, creating a more meaningful experience.
Having always lived in the Southern Highlands, I’ve been spoiled by the beauty of nature around me and understand the allure of the area that lends itself so well to hosting beautiful events. Being a local, I love sharing my insight, recommendations and own experiences with others to help make sure your special day runs as smoothly as possible.

What’s in a Name?
What does Leonessa Botanicals mean you ask? Simply, it’s Italian for lioness and Leo is my star sign.
But fundamentally the Leonessa signifies what I wish to bring to my business and clients.
Wild: The creation of meaningful, wild romantic floral designs is my vibe
Loyal: A strong loyalty to sustainable floristry techniques and supporting local and Australian flower growers. And of course a loyalty to my clients working as a team to create all their floral dreams.
Pride: a fierce pride and passion in all that I do .
Our philosophy
We believe in floral creations that are meaningful in every way. Every step of our process is thoughtful and intentional so that we deliver a design that tells your unique story while bringing to life the look and feel you envision. We believe that flowers have a lot to say, and we work with the natural form, movement and texture of our flowers to create arrangements with understated luxury where every flower has it’s place and a story to tell.
