Planning a wedding is a huge job and can be overwhelming, but the main thing I want couples to remember when planning their wedding flowers is that this is your day. At Leonessa Botanicals we’re here to help you every step of the way, and our design process is intentional and focused on helping you choose floral designs and flowers that feel right and personal for you.

Our Design Process

Step 1: Discovering your unique story

This is what we focus on - creating designs that tell your story - and it’s what is at the heart of our design philosophy. But don’t worry if you’re not sure about what your story is!

Our process is thoughtful and intentional and based on discovering what flowers are meaningful to you as a couple. This may be as simple as matching your personalities and theme to the right florals; Or uncovering a colour, style or flower you both like. Or, perhaps it’s something more symbolic that represents your hopes for the future, or a nod to your roots.

Step 2: Letting your story bloom

Once we uncover your story and learn more about the look and feel you want to achieve for your special day, we start designing your wedding flowers. Our designs are intentional, by choosing the right flowers for every design so their natural form can preserve the wild magic that already exists in each flower. We create organic, garden inspired and textured arrangements that capture your essence as a couple.

Step 3: Sustainable sourcing

When it comes time to source your wedding flowers and bring your designs to life, we focus on sustainable and ethical practices. We will work with local growers first in the Southern Highlands and Illawarra areas to source our florals. We will create our arrangements responsibly to ensure long lasting designs without the use of floral foam.

Step 4: Happily ever after

Once we’ve created your floral dreams, we’ll return to the venue to pack down our designs. We will collect all reusable props and materials and properly dispose of our green waste into composting systems and back to Mother Nature!
